Advising on intellectual property protection

We provide assistance with securing rights to the story and other work (option, letter of intent, assignment agreement, etc.), securing, collecting and protecting the rights to your work, distributing the rights between co-producers and the creative team, advising on collective administration of the rights, the distribution of your project, and the relationship with the sales agents or publishers.

Drafting of contracts

We prepare all necessary contracts with the project’s creative team (scriptwriters, directors, composer, actors, performers, etc.). We draft co-production contracts with other producers, as well as contracts for financing and distribution of the project. We prepare copyright, assignment and licensing contracts.

Financing issues

We provide assistance in the preparation of applications for state funding, as well as in resolving disputes regarding the evaluation or administration of applications. We provide advice on how to benefit from tax insentives. We advise on issues such as project financing, investor relations and drafting necessary documentation.

Representation in negotiations and disputes

We represent our clients in negotiations with co-producers and other parties, in relations and disputes with state funding institutions, and in court proceedings to defend their interests.

Advising film producers Broom Films on the drafting of copyright agreements with the creative team.
Representing animation producers Art Shot in negotiations for a co-production agreement with Polish and German producers.
Representing Dansu Films before the Administrative Disputes Commission regarding unjustified decisions taken by the Lithuanian Film Centre in connection with the evaluation of the client’s application. The Dispute Panel ruled in favour of the client.
Advising animation producers Art Shot on the creation of copyright agreements with the creative team for the BFF project.
Advising the Lithuanian Animation Association on discrimination against animation projects in the allocation of state funding.
Representing 360 Degree Films in an administrative disputes commission regarding unjustified decisions taken by the Lithuanian Film Centre in relation to the evaluation of the client’s application. We got the client’s application reassessed.
Representing Meno avilys before the Administrative Disputes Commission in relation to unjustified decisions taken by the Lithuanian Film Centre in connection with the assessment of the client’s application. We got the client’s application reassessed.
We assisted Make It Happen Production House with contractual and intellectual property issues in the development of the animated series Babaužiukai / Babookums.
Advising the creators of the children’s book Happy Go Hopscotch on the company’s shareholding structure, intellectual property rights, publishing and other related issues.
Advising the film production company InScript on the development of Miracle. We prepared contracts for the financing of the film, co-production with foreign co-producers, intellectual property rights and distribution of the film.
Advising on the drafting of a standard VOD (video on demand) licence agreement for Baltic View, an online movie viewing platform presenting Baltic films online and organising exclusive film events. Advising the client on intellectual property issues and film screening events.
